  • Hotel Slavija is located in the Andrije Buvine street, a 13th century woodcarver. A. Buvina is the author of the romanesque wooden doors on the Split cathedral portal with carved scenes from the Jesus Christ’s life.
  • Vid Morpurgo – a croatian publisher, printer, bibliographer, librarian, politician and a member of the famous Morpurgo family. According to certain sources, he was born in the Bresan palace, nowadays known as hotel Slavija.
