Hiking is an activity of walking trough the countryside, usualy along trails called hiking trails or footpaths, and may last from a couple of hours to a couple of days. For all the hills and mountains in the Split area there are maps with routes, we reccomend obtaining them if you decide to partake in this activity. It is important to emphasize that you should not go to the mountains without at least a supply of fresh water and adequate hiking boots and clothes, in order to avoid or reduce to a minimum the potenial unpleasant situations.
