Cetina river, the one with richest waterflow of all Dalmatian rivers, has a few springs near Vrlika in Dalmatian Zagora. The riverspring location is approximately 80 kn away from Split. River flows for some 105 kilometers, being confined in an artificial lake after the 25th kilometre (Peruca lake) and then continues to the Sinj fields and the city of Sinj, towards Trilj and then trough the canyons southwards to Omiš where it flows into the Adriatic sea.

Along the river route there are many fortresses, big and small, dating from the ancient and medieval times.

In the tourist season, in the lower part of the river, the canoeing and zipline tours are orrganized a few times each day – a wonderful way to have an active and fun vacation.
