Biking is considered to be one of the top ten activities in the Dalmatian region, and Split being the ideal location for it.
Why is Split an ideal location?
- it is connected by ferries to the islands (Brac, Hvar, Solta, Vis and Korcula) that have an abundance of beautiful biking tracks
– trains connect it to the dalmatian Zagora – yet undiscovered haven of biking tracks, with magical views, beautiful rivers and lakes
the highway is only 20 minutes drive away from the city centre, and the roads connect the far south of the country (Dubrovnik) with the north
– Marjan hill, located in the city centre, is a beautiful site to have an easy bike ride, but also offers tracks with gravel and a climb to the Telefrin top, which offers a beautiful view of the city and the nearby islands.
There are a few biking societies that are active in Split that organize biking tours on the islands, tours to the nearby cities and towns and historic localities.
Island Hopping – from an island to another, a very popular route among our guests.
Note: the organized tours mostly last a couple of days with all necessary logistics.
